ENDOWMENTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS |

Along with the Foundation Board, several charitable
organizations have helped to offer many different scholarships
and endowed professorships to Nunez Community College.
Listed below are just a few examples of these endowments
currently awarded to the college.

The Excellence in Teaching Award
The Nunez Community College Excellence in Teaching Award is a stipend
awarded annually to a professor who has shown a
commitment to the college by going above and beyond the
call of duty to provide his or her
students with the best possible instructional
environment. Professors are nominated by their
fellow faculty members, and the winner is selected by a
committee headed by the previous year's Excellence in
Teaching Award recipient.

The Freeport McMoran Endowed Professorship
The Freeport McMoran Endowed Professorship is given
every three years to a faculty member who has proven
his or her commitment to higher education excellence at Nunez Community
College.

The Tate & Lyle North American Sugar Endowment
The Tate & Lyle North American Sugar Endowment is
awarded to the Heating, Venting, and Air Condition
(HVAC)
Program for the purpose of purchasing tools and
equipment to ensure that the students of this program
are trained in the latest technology of the industry.
An
Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning Student works on
some air compressor units.
