External Scholarships

For all external scholarships, please visit the scholarship websites and read all eligibility requirements and application instructions carefully.

ACG Craft Scholarship- Undergraduate and workforce development scholarships available.

American Association of University Women- $1,500 scholarship for books and supplies available to women who reside in the Northshore parishes.

American Home Design Scholarship-$1,000 scholarship awarded to a student working towards a degree in business, management, marketing, or a related field.

American Welding Society- The AWS Foundation provides funding assistance to help students pursue vocational, community college, or bachelor degrees in welding or a related field of study.

Azazie Scholarship- $1,000 scholarship available.

Bloom Legal Scholarship- $1,000. For incoming freshman from Orleans Parish majoring in law, politics, or government.

Diabetes Scholars Foundation- The Diabetes Scholars Foundation’s college scholarship program is available to incoming freshmen with type 1 diabetes and who are US citizens or permanent residents seeking a higher education at an accredited four year university, college, technical or trade school.

Executive Women International- $1,000 scholarship for adult female students.

Fecke Scholarship- Provides scholarship awards to residents of St.Bernard and Plaquemines parishes. Open to students who focus their studies on ecology, conservation, biology, or botany.

Geneseo Migrant Center Scholarships for Migrant Students- The Geneseo Migrant Center administers a variety of scholarships to offer financial assistance to migrant students who want to further their education.

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program- Offers over 500 scholarships of up to $2,500 each to individuals pursuing a career or technical certificate or degree. For first-time freshman only.

Inter-Tribal Council of Louisiana Career Pathway Program- Offers financial and career-readiness support to students who are registered tribal members enrolled in a in-demand career or technical program.

Irma Cry Foundation- Offers multiple scholarships annually to St. Tammany residents seeking vocational/industry-based certifications.

James Beard Foundation Scholarship- Scholarships for culinary students in a range of educational programs.

Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund- For low-income women aged 35 or older.

Laser Spine Institute Scholarship- Offers a $1,500 scholarship to one full-time undergraduate student enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in a health- or science-based program.

LCTCS (Louisiana Community & Technical College System) Foundation- Scholarships of up to $500 are available to students enrolled full-time at Nunez Community College or another LCTCS college.

Louisiana Restaurant Association- Supports the continuing education of students pursing a career in the culinary or hospitality industry. Scholarships are merit-based and award amounts vary.

Meraux Foundation- $1000 per year for up to 4 years. Must be a resident of St. Bernard parish.

NAWIC Scholarship- For students in construction or construction-related programs of study.

Neighborhood Involvement Scholarship- For students who have positively impacted their neighborhoods.

Paramount Builders Inc.- For students in business management or marketing-related programs of study.

PFLAG New Orleans- $1,000 - $10,000. For students who identify as part of the GLBT community.

Shell Associate's & Technology Scholarship- For students in industrial technology (PTEC) or industrial maintenance.

SR Education Group- $2,500. Two open-response questions required.

Toptal-$5,000. Open to women in Technical careers.

Tourism Cares - Award amounts vary. Up to 38 different scholarship awards available. For students in hospitality or tourism programs.

Tungsten Rings and Co. Scholarship Program- $1,000 and based on financial need.

University Tutor Scholarship- $1,000 based on an essay. Awarded monthly.

VFW Auxiliary’s Young American Patriotic Art Contest- Any student in grades 9-12 who is enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States.

Zumper Apartments- Any legal U.S. resident in high school or college who will be attending an accredited university or college is eligible to apply.
