Cocktail Whiz hosts Workshop at Nunez - Monday, December 02, 2013

Ann Tuennerman, founder & executive director of Tales of the Cocktail, will be the guest speaker at this month’s free workshop at The Entrepreneurship Center at Nunez Community College.

Tuennerman’s Tales of the Cocktail is "the world’s premier cocktail festival, which draws thousands of cocktail professionals and enthusiasts to New Orleans each year.” There, Tuennerman creates the vision and direction; coordinating mixologists, bartenders, spirits brands, and media outlets to bring all of the 200+ events to life.

The visionary and entrepreneur’s work has garnered local, national and international awards including the prestigious D'USSE Cognac Tom Bullock Award for Service and Leadership from DC Toasts, the BNIC Cognac Personality of the Year Award, and features in City Business, Gambit and MORE magazine. With her husband Paul, Tuennerman also runs the New Orleans Culinary & Cultural Preservation Society (NOCCPS), a non-profit organization committed to preserving the unique culture of cocktails and cuisine in New Orleans and beyond by funding apprenticeships, grants, scholarship programs and more.

The workshop is another in the Entrepreneurship Center’s series, designed to offer small- and future-business owners insight and training from successful business leaders. Free and open to the public, the workshop will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6 p.m. in Room 114 of the College’s main building. Those interested in attending are encouraged to R.S.V.P. at eventbrite.com, or contact Dr. Victoria Palmisano at 504-278-6295 for more information.
