Dickie Brennan to lead workshop at Nunez - Thursday, February 20, 2014

Dickie Brennan, celebrated chef and entrepreneur, will speak at Nunez Community College on Monday, February 24, 2014, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

"An Evening with New Orleans Restaurateur, Dickie Brennan, of the world famous Brennan FamillyĒ is the Nunez Entrepreneurship Centerís most recent workshop in its series designed for small- and future- business owners. The workshops are free and open to the public through funding from the U.S. Dept. of Labor.

According to his corporate profile, third-generation New Orleans restaurateur of the renowned Brennan family, Dickie Brennan, is a trained chef, owner and managing partner of Dickie Brennan & Company. He also currently serves on the James Beard Foundationís Board of Trustees, the National Restaurant Associationís Board of Directors, and the Board for the Southern Food & Beverage Museum. "Growing up under the tutelage of esteemed Chef Paul Prudhomme, Dickie helped Commanderís Palace lead the American Regional Cuisine movement by introducing the world to Cajun and Creole cooking.ĒHis restaurants, Dickie Brennanís Bourbon House Seafood & Oyster Bar, Steakhouse, Palace Café, and Tableau, accentuate Louisianaís culinary history through the use of local ingredients and techniques.
