Pelicans & Pearls, this year's Nunez Community College Foundation Gala, was held at Docville Farm on Saturday, January 26. Guests sampled food from several local restaurants, browsed and took a chance on items in the silent auction, danced to the music and overall had a fun night. Meraux Foundation President Rita Gue also recognized a special guest, Ms. Lena Torres, who turned 98 earlier this week.
