Nunez Community College is a comprehensive community college offering more than 17 academic programs, including specialized training and continuing education courses on our campus, as well as various locations in the New Orleans metropolitan area. The College partners with area industry and four-year universities to offer fully-transferable, industry-driven curriculum and programs to our students. The College also offers some of the latest, cutting-edge technology; ultra-modern training facilities; and innovative learning options.
At Nunez Community College we understand that you are not a number. Our students have personal lives, families, and many of them are working to support themselves financially. Students at Nunez are focused on getting an education that will create new opportunities for them, either through career and technical education programs, or by preparing to transfer to a four-year college or university in the future. Co-curricular activities are important to personal growth and development. Scholastic, professional, athletic, and service organizations have been developed in response to expressed interest and to provide leadership opportunities for students. Tutoring is provided by the Student Success Center (SSC) and Entrepreneurship Center (EC). The SSC and EC are dedicated to the mission of Nunez Community College and provide academic, personal and career-focused support to enrolled students. Both Centers help students work toward their optimum potential in a nurturing environment where learning is the priority and long-term success is supported. Through individualized and group tutoring, advising, mentoring and various workshops, the Centers aim to encourage students to become confident, independent learners.
