Position: Fitness Center and Special Projects Coordinator
Department: Institutional Advancement
Reports to: Associate Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement

Position Summary
The Fitness Center and Special Projects Coordinator will provide hands-on assistance, manage, and oversee all operations in the Nunez Fitness Center including fitness classes and programs. The Coordinator of Fitness Center and Special Projects will assist in managing advancement projects and special events for community stakeholders, business partners, students, faculty and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance, manage, and oversee all Operations in the Nunez fitness center to ensure accessibility and safety, for all Nunez students and employees including maintaining equipment, ensuring cleanliness, manage student workers, and maintain a schedule of operation.
  • Manage college-wide advancement projects and special events for community stakeholders, business partners, students, faculty and staff so that events and projects are properly organized with furniture and equipment requests.
  • Other duties as assigned by Associate Vice Chancellor of Advancement.

Minimum Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s Degree
  • Two (2) years managing fitness centers and event set up in higher education facility

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in excess of 40 hours a week, which may include nights and weekends.
  • Ability to view a computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Ability to function in a high-pressure, stressful environment and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to carry <25 lbs., stand, sit, reach, bend, climb, reach and push/pull.
