Practical Nursing Fall 2021 Graduates

Nunez Community College held its Fall 2021 Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony on Dec. 16. Nunez Community College celebrated the graduation of 23 future healthcare heroes Dec. 16 at its Fall 2021 Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony.

Three graduates were recognized with awards during the ceremony, which can be viewed on both the Nunez Facebook and YouTube pages.

Erin Randolph of New Orleans was presented with the Spirit Award, which is voted on by students in the graduating class to recognize a student who has motivated them during their time together.

“Erin has made not only every student, but every instructor, laugh consistently through his entire nursing program,” said Lauren Winters, Director of Nunez’s Practical Nursing Program.

Natasha Dennis of New Orleans was presented with the Academic Achievement Award for earning the highest GPA in the class in nursing courses.

“Natasha has always gone above and beyond in her academics to ensure that she was knowledgeable on all topics covered,” said Winters.

Finally, Amanda Morgan of Slidell was presented with the Florence Nightingale Award for the student chosen by Nunez’s nursing faculty who best demonstrates the qualities associated with the founder of modern nursing.

“Amanda has always been thorough, not only in her course work but at the bedside. Her patients, their families and her clinical instructors have praised her compassionate spirit,” said Winters.

Registration is currently open for the Spring 2022 semester at Nunez. Classes begin Jan. 18.
