Nunez Hosting Robotics Workshops for Grades 1-3 Oct. 7 and Nov. 5

Nunez Community College's STEAM Division will host two Robotics Workshops for students in Grades 1-3 on Oct. 7 and Nov. 5. Parents are encouraged to submit an Inquiry Form at Nunez.edu/STEAM or contact STEAM Dir. Dr. Julie Rexford at jrexford@nunez.edu.

Nunez Community College’s STEAM Division will host two Robotics Workshops for students in grades 1-3 this fall.

The first workshop will take place Monday, Oct. 7, and the second will follow Tuesday, Nov. 5. Both workshops will take place 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Kane Building on the Nunez campus.

Admission is $35 per student.

Students will learn basic mechanics and programming using LEGO’s SPIKE Prime robotics kits.

STEAM is the extracurricular and community education division at Nunez along with Workforce and Adult Education. STEAM stands for Science Technology Engineering Arts Math and Science.

STEAM at Nunez is also offering courses that will certify students in Red Cross Babysitting and multiple certifications in Fiber Optics this fall. These industry-based credentials make individuals more employable. Find more information about both courses at Nunez.edu/STEAM.
