Nunez Trunk or Treat Returns October 23

Nunez Community College’s Trunk or Treat returns for its third year on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The entire community is invited for an evening of free fun, food, pumpkins and plenty of candy.

The streets of Nunez Community College will flow with candy on October 23 as the college hosts its third annual Trunk or Treat celebration.

The entire community is invited to take part in an evening of free fun, food and candy. The atmosphere is family friendly and kids will have a blast navigating the many trunks and tables set up by community members and organizations.

Trunk or Treat will open to the public from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Spots for trunks and tables are limited, but individuals and organizations wishing to host a trunk or a table can find the signup link at Nunez.edu. Set up on the day of the event will take place between 3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

Parking will once again be concentrated at Arlene Meraux Elementary School, just to the north of the Nunez campus on Paris Road. School busses will shuttle families to and from Nunez and Arlene Meraux at regular intervals.

The St. Bernard Parish Redfish Festival will return to distribute a limited supply of free pumpkins.

Nunez’s Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship students will prepare and serve 1,500 hot dogs. Hot dogs and water will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.
